100 Inch Video Wall

When space becomes a consideration, there's always the option of going vertical, with either a single-user 2-screen setup or a 2-user 4 screen arrangement.

By converting the previous 4 Screens And 2 Users setup tp a vertical 100" 8k video wall, a lot of room space is recovered, as well as retaining the two-user capability.

Important

For the various ways you can configure the screen upscaling and displayed text size independently for optimal readability, see the Operating System page.
You don't really have to be able to read everything on the top row of screens - just recognize the various windows you've stored there for future use. When you need to work on a window, just pull it down to the bottom row of screens.

Mounting options are:

   1. A pair of modified video carts as described in 1 Screen Setup;

   2. A pair of table platform mounts and a pair of unmodified video carts to hold the upper row of screens;

   3. A pair of table mounts and a pair of wall mounts;

   4. 4 wall mounts.

In the second photo, I've opted for 2 modified video carts.

For a single user, there's also the option of moving everything into a corner, but this makes 2-person use rather awkward.

The 100" video wall was originally conceived and built to test what the maximum usable screen size is, by taking a screen shot from a single screen and either shrinking it down or stretching it across all 4 screens to imitate everything from a tablet to a 100" screen.

It turns out that a 100" compound wall (as opposed to a single 100" screen) is VERY usable unless you have neck problems.
